Over the last few years Health and Safety in sawmills has become more and more of an issue - as you are well aware. To keep employees away from machines when running is now the bench mark that mills need to achieve via distance guarding and safety lookouts etc. With this in mind SEL have available a Motorised Pulley Tilting unit for the top pulleys on all our various type's of Bandsaw.
At the moment most mills have to adjust their saws manually whilst they are running - which nowadays is against HSE requirements. As you can see from the above photo the motorised unit replaces the existing manually operated handle and is controlled via a push button panel that is placed away from the machine and out of the safety zone. This means the employee is well away from the machine when running.

The equipment is easily fitted to any existing AKE bandsaw. The work required does not take long. For instance a Quad bandsaw can be done in some hours – so a weekend job is easily accomplished. |
