| Upgrades - Bandsaw Guideblock |
|
Cutting accuracy has always been the most important demand in sawmilling. If this isn't done correctly then it costs money to rectify – less yield, more re-sawing etc. AKE bandsaws can be upgraded to take a far more user friendly and accurate bandsaw blade guideblock assembly.
The kit enables you to pre-set the guideblock in the sawshop – no more trying to set it up on the machine – and also provides guideblock's that have a far longer life span as they are “re-grindable”.

| Upgrade kits are available for all AKE bandsaws. And an upgrade for a Quad bandsaw (or less) can easily be done over a weekend. |
 |
| The kit as shown in the pictures come complete with new upper and lower guides, new pulley scraper assemblies and new lower “and upper” pulley lubrication boxes. The picture also shows upper arms that are for sawing logs and cants. However if you only saw cants then the upper arms are horizontal not angled. This is to make sure that the upper guideblock is closer to the sawn material. This then ensures the best accuracy as the guideblock's are as close together as possible |
