The CamTool™ has a patented bark deflector which considerably reduces the risk of bark clogging the inside the rotor.

CamTool™ has a unique dynamic ability which allows an easy climb onto the log and very accurate debarking along the entire surface. Impartial test have shown that damages to the log caused by tools climbing has been reduced by over 75% compared to previous debarking tools. |

The CamTool™ concept is lighter in weight than previous earlier designs. This means the rotor speed can be increased without too large centrifugal forces compromising the debarking result. |

The base of the tool shaft is the same as earlier versions with the fine-splined shaft. What is new about the tool shaft is the very stable attachment of the tool holder and its low weight. The tool holder is fitted from the front allowing easy and quick service. |

The CamTool™ holder has a unique property compared with other holders available. The climbing edge used on the lower part of the holder which exposes a wide area to deflect the bark against the feeding direction. This means eventual problems of bark getting clogged up in the rotor is minimised. The shape of the holder, providing a more gentle climb onto the log, has given a documented reduction of log damages. The holder has a low weight and long life span. |

The standard tool tip has climbing and debarking edges of a hard metal alloy. The low weight is essential to reduce the effects of centrifugal forces. A Tip with an ‘ear’ for spruce debarking is also available, more information can be found on s separate page sourced from the main upgrade page. |
