2010 Update
After the unfortunate fire in June 2010 we re-commissioned the sawmill at the end of October. Given the timing of the fire, at the start of the summer holidays, it was inevitable that the repairs etc that needed to be done could take some time. However our staff worked extremely hard to ensure the machinery was repaired and returned as quickly as possible. The mill is now running very well and quickly got back to the production level that was achieved pre the fire. |

During November 2007 Söderhamn Eriksson (SE) won the largest order in our companies history. The order from James Jones & Sons Ltd is for a new sawline together with 2 high speed edging lines, subfloor and other associated services. The new mill - to be called "Lockerbie 3" - is to be built at their Lockerbie site in South Scotland where SE built the Lockerbie 1 mill - a Profiling line - in 2000. The site also includes a large bank of kilns and treatment facilities. They also have a large planing mill called Lockerbie 2, hence the new project is called Lockerbie 3.
SE has a long and proud history of being associated with James Jones who are one of Europe's most progressive sawmillers. SE are also extremely proud to say that Lockerbie 3 will be the 5th mill we have supplied them.
On this website we will be giving regular updates on how the largest sawmilling project in the UK is progressing.
