The Best in Sawmilling Technology!

Comprehensive solutions for world class sawmills

Worldwide leading sawmill technology has been Söderhamn Eriksson's trademark for decades

Bruks AB is the market leader for residue handling equipment in sawmills; the largest supplier of drum chippers, regarding both the number of chippers already delivered and the annual sales volume; a supplier with a wide product range for the pulp, board, energy and wood recycling industries; a supplier with a large market coverage and representatives in 50 countries.

Drum Chippers with Horizontal Infeed

These horizontally fed chippers have extra wide throats for smooth feeding of roundwood, slabs, edgings, reject boards, trim ends and veneer residue. The chips can be discharged through a bottom screen or blown out via a fan to a chip screen. With power ratings up to 1000 kW and infeed openings up to 850x1200 mm, the BK-DH drum chippers can be used for a wide range of applications. Also available with gravity infeed.

Drum Chippers with Gravity Infeed

The gravity-fed chipper is best suited for chipping of short sawmill waste and roundwood.
Thanks to comprehensive development work, this type of chipper produces a very high chip quality which meets the pulp industries' strict requirements even when chipping short material. The chippers come in several sizes for capacities ranging from 15 to 1000 m³ chips/hr. All are characterized by low maintenance cost and high availability.

Free Swinging Screens

BRUKS' suspended chip screens are available in 14 designs so that they can easily and efficiently be adapted to the multitude of plants operating around the world.

Up to four fractions can be separated simultaneously. The screen box is designed for two or three screen decks with successively decreasing hole sizes and stepwise decreasing inclination to reduce transport speed. This design combines high capacities with high screening efficiency.
The top deck is made of perforated steel plate while the lower decks usually are made of wire mesh, which ensures optimum screening of fines and pin chips.
All screen decks are exchangeable and can be ordered with perforations adapted to individual requirements.
The screens' high net weight increases their resistance to large volumes and high loads.

Standing Screens

BRUKS' standing screen is suitable for many different bulky materials such as bark and wood waste, sawmill by-products, wet or dry flakes etc.

The screen separates up to 6 fractions simultaneously!
Inlet and outlet chutes, screen deck perforations as well as fraction size and number can be adapted to individual customer requirements.

Discs Screens

Our disc screens separate reliably – in sawmills: slivers, longer cutter shavings and oversize from sawdust; in the log yard: oversize material from bark, slivers and chips.
Product advantages: Maximum screening capacity while needing little space, self-cleaning screening area, low maintenance requirement.

Vibrating Conveyors

Our vibrating conveyors are available in a number of versions and sizes.

Characteristics:

  • Operating according to two principles:(1) natural frequency or (2) controlled
  • Very large program for all applications.
  • Transport speeds ranging from 10 to 25 m/min.
  • Optimum feeding of chippers with built-in fins that orientate the material.

Can be equipped with screening section and metal detector.

Scraper Chain Conveyors

This type of conveyor comes in a variety of designs and from 600 mm to 1800 mm wide. Material transport can take place in the upper or lower part and can be up to 80 degrees inclined. All versions are designed for reliable, heavy-duty operation at low operating cost.

Tubulator Conveyors

The new way of transporting bulk goods such as chips, sawdust, bark, grain, fodder etc, With high capacity, at high speeds and in an energy-saving, tight system – dust-free and spill-free.
The conveyor is built as a closed system of steel tubes. Inside the conveyor tube, a rubber belt runs at high speed on top of an air cushion provided by fans.
The Tubulator comes in several sizes and can be installed indoors or outdoors.
It can be delivered for very long transport distances with large self-supporting spans and for capacities up to 800 m³/hr.

Butt End Reducers

BRUKS offers a unique butt-end reducing method for high yield and optimum results. The log is reduced along its surface line so that it retains its natural conic and oval form. Only the root flares are milled off. This increases productivity and optimizes the possibilities of measuring, aligning and fixing the log while it is being sawn.
